We are a diverse group of dedicated individuals, including survivors, family members, researchers, and advocates, united by a common mission to honor the victims of the July 5, 1973 Coup d’État. Our leadership team consists of individuals with deep expertise in human rights, historical research, and community engagement. Together, we work tirelessly to preserve the truth and ensure the memory of those lost is never forgotten.
ABASANGIRA is built on the strength of community collaboration. We work closely with survivors, victims’ families, activists, and organizations across borders to raise awareness, share knowledge, and support those affected. Our efforts are guided by a shared commitment to justice, remembrance, and the rebuilding of trust among communities. Together, we strive to create a more inclusive, compassionate future based on mutual respect and understanding.
